The CX has better built-in speakers and the black frame insertion works at 120Hz, but it causes some duplication in motion. Overall, they're two excellent TVs that should please most people.

This would mean the current issue I am experiencing is caused by my TV not properly passing through the audio of the Xbox. From what I’ve seen, the higher bandwidth of eARC is required to pass through full, uncompressed Dolby Atmos with no A/V sync issues.

Sometimes audio worked, sometimes it went off completely, sometimes it sounded like a cybernetic dolphin squealing under water.

Oct 26, 2020 · I bypassed any AVR problems with my LG CX by routing video directly to the TV and using a cheap DP to HDMI converter to output sound to my older Onkyo RZ-810 that only supports 4K 60Hz (and no gsync/vrr). Works great as a 1024x768 extended screen dummy display and I still get Dolby Atmos output to my 5.2.2 sound system.
